There is a panel called, “Universal Panel” which has a display, rotary encoder and switch. This panel allows the user to add virtual panels to the system. You can select a panel type then set its parameters and routing via a hierarchical menu system. It was designed for testing but I thought it would be useful for general use, particularly for panels that don’t need frequent modification. This saves users’ rack space and money.
I am considering combining this functionality into the Brain so that users have the functionality by default, without needing to purchase an extra panel. It would also facilitate some user configuration. The brain may need some alteration to fit the extra controls which may make it larger, although I haven’t tested that yet. It will of course also increase the cost but I would hope that to be minimal and think the benefits are worth it.
This would mean a user could start with just the Brain and have an operational (if suboptimal) system.
