In the news this week it the release of Adamsynths Warthog which is an analogue modular synth with state recall. This looks really cool and has some similarities to riban modular, although is not the same and aimed at a different audience.
Update 2025 - Adamsynths have released seperate modules. I am not sure how these work but may need their “Central Unit” in which case there is likely some kind of inter-module linking. More reading required!
MetaModule shares some simularities with riban modular. It hosts VCV type modules and controls parameters with hardware knobs. It interfaces with standard CV modular so a kind of hybrid.
PatF has created some LV2 plugins for zynthian and described them in the zynthian forum. This provides Aether, Mutated Instruments, and Chaos Engine which are (mostly) derived from Mutable Instruments Braids and Plaits modules. This looks super interesting. I will be sure to look at the code to see if it may provide benefit here too.
